How to protect your Facebook account
‘Facebook Protect’ provides extra security to those accounts that Facebook thinks are at high risk of being hacked. This feature was initially introduced for elected officials, political candidates and their staff to prevent the spread of inaccurate or misleading information from their accounts.
Facebook Protect basically introduces the two-factor authentication feature for the mentioned individuals and simplifies the task of risk monitoring. In addition, all page admins have to go through the page publishing authorization process which will be completed through two-factor authentication and general location verification.
So if you are informed about the launch of Facebook Protect via e-mail, if you do not turn on the feature within the specified time, the Facebook account may be locked. You will also receive this notification by logging in to Facebook.
No matter you receive a notification or not, you can also get your Facebook profile and page protected by following the instructions below.
